Freja grew up in Cornwall and moved to West Penwith as an adult. Since then she has been profoundly inspired and affected by the local landscapes and history of the area, which have made a deep impact on her practise. She is currently studying Fine Art at Falmouth University, specialising in sculpture. Freja enjoys working with metal; having initially worked in jewellery making which fostered a curiosity that is rapidly expanding. She intends to further this with utilising wood and stone, and is also undertaking a blacksmithing apprenticeship over the summer to carry the momentum from her end of year show into the future.
